Reminder Feature assistance

I have downloaded, installed and configured the reminder feature and have setup reminders on an event list but the email reminders are not being sent. Any ideas on what is happening will be greatly appreciated. I need to have this working asap.

Hi,

Please check your event log. By the way, have you configure SMTP setting in Central Admin.
